Does my phone support eSIM?

Dial *#06# on the keypad: if you see an EID line, your phone supports eSIM. It must not be locked to a network.

The quickest way: open your phone’s keypad and dial *#06#. The screen shows your IMEI numbers and, if the phone supports eSIM, also an EID line, a long number that usually starts with 89. If there is an EID, there is an eSIM.

As a rough guide, these support it: iPhone XS, XR and newer (including the SE from the 2nd generation), Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer, Z Fold and Z Flip, some Galaxy A models, Google Pixel 3 and newer, Xiaomi 12T and newer, and most newer Motorola, OnePlus, Sony and Oppo models. Models made for the Chinese market often have no eSIM, even when their European versions do.

Second: the phone must not be locked to a network (SIM lock). On an iPhone, check in Settings › General › About: next to “Network Provider Lock” it should say “No SIM restrictions”. A phone bought on a contract in Poland is usually unlocked; phones bought from deals abroad are sometimes locked.

If you buy a plan and the phone turns out to have no eSIM, don’t install it: until it is installed, we refund the money in full.
